Diagnosing engine bar with o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check dtc memory of adr control module . So for next charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ is the final reason of the code. |
04398 Possible Causes:
04398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04398 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
