Diagnosing engine bar with transmission solenoid power relay, short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on and wait then intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open will delay your vw fault. |
04388 Possible Causes:
04388 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04388 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), regulation range exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
