04379 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 2 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission control unit (j217), programming error and fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
04379 Possible Causes:
04379 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 04379 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at lower limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
