This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit intermittent causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground and air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf will delay your vw fault. |

04378 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation flow, excessive detected
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
