This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit / open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high . On the other hand signal for back-up lights, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04371 Possible Causes:
04371 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04371 Code
- Inspect all the connections mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
