The problem is about secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit or valve for pump - jet, cylinder 2 (n241), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
04357 Possible Causes:
04357 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 04357 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
