Diameter in engine cylinder 9 injector, data incompatible retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ you can see the malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
04318 Possible Causes:
04318 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 04318 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel level sensor 2, circuit high voltage
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
