04289 Description And Summary : |

When you open idle speed intervention circuit error message from engine contr. retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit range / performance bank 2 or change coolant fan 2 (v177), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
04289 Possible Causes:
04289 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 04289 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
