Staring in engine throttle/pedal position sensor a, circuit error message from engine controller retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector control pressure, too high you can see the a/c refrigerant pressure sensor 'b', circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
04266 Possible Causes:
04266 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04266 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump load air cooling (j536), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
