This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system a/c refrigerant distribution valve control, circuit / open or change please check dtc memory of transmission ecu is the final reason of the code. |
04260 Possible Causes:
04260 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04260 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
