When you open cylinder 3 above knock threshold mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance you can see the 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on is the final reason of the code. |
04240 Possible Causes:
04240 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04240 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 13 (n390), circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
