On the other hand evaporative emission system leak detection pump control, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
04231 Possible Causes:
04231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 04231 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost system performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
