The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault hydraulic pressure sensor 1, too high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+ also transmission range display, circuit short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
04228 Possible Causes:
04228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 04228 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
