The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake flap motor 2 (v275), no signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 1, circuit / open you can see the mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
04221 Possible Causes:
04221 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 04221 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
