04198 Possible Causes:
04198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04198 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic bank
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
