This something to do with the intake camshaft timing accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system bank 2, system too lean at idle or change ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
04198 Possible Causes:
04198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04198 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant fan control module 2, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
