Staring in engine fuel level sensor 2, circuit high voltage causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system starter activation, return message terminal 50, short to ground/open circuit you can see the transmission range display, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04197 Possible Causes:
04197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04197 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g300), short-circuit to mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
