Diameter in engine exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for torque support mount, open circuit and wait then intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
04196 Possible Causes:
04196 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04196 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
