This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition switch accessory position, circuit and reversing light, circuit short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
04187 Possible Causes:
04187 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04187 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
