This something to do with the intake camshaft timing hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), no / incorrect basic setting/adaptation mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit low and system too lean at higher load, bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |
04184 Possible Causes:
04184 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04184 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
