This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission temperature control mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction also pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04179 Possible Causes:
04179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 04179 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission mount valve 2 (n263), open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
