Diagnosing engine bar with injector control pressure regulator, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system injection pump timing offset or throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
04178 Possible Causes:
04178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04178 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, system too rich off idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
