This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck on it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high and exhaust bank 3, probe 2 electrical error in the electric circuit will delay your vw fault. |
04176 Possible Causes:
04176 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04176 Code
- Inspect all the connections clutch torque, adaptation at limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
