The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'd' primary control, short to plus the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 1 and wait then exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
04171 Possible Causes:
04171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 04171 Code
- Inspect all the connections transmission coolant circuit relay, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
