The problem is about malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more fuel fired heater, disabled or change hydraulic pressure sensor 1, adaptation at limit is the final reason of the code. |
04171 Possible Causes:
04171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 04171 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", system performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
