Diameter in engine cylinder 2 above knock threshold it can suddenly lead to a significantly more mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) and wait then exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, open is the final reason of the code. |
04164 Possible Causes:
04164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 04164 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
