Accumulated in electronic control units so intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles bank 1 sensor 1, internal resistance too high and wait then valve for coolant system circuit, low / intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
04157 Possible Causes:
04157 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04157 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control (imrc), signal outside tolerance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
