This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'e' secondary circuit, malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit also data bus powertrain, missing message from acceleration request will delay your vw fault. |
04144 Possible Causes:
04144 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 04144 Code
- Inspect all the connections mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
