04138 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground you can see the radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
04138 Possible Causes:
04138 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 04138 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
