When you open exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas recirculation cooling valve control, circuit high or oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, pump current, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04123 Possible Causes:
04123 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
