Diameter in engine engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal high or glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04118 Possible Causes:
04118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04118 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
