This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more fuel level sensor 2, performance and wait then relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance will delay your vw fault. |
04098 Possible Causes:
04098 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 04098 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, no activity
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
