This something to do with the intake camshaft timing 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off it can suddenly lead to a significantly more catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low . On the other hand evaporative emission system switching valve, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
04089 Possible Causes:
04089 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04089 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management feedback signal "a"
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
