This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission coolant circuit relay, short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake control module defective . So for next glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
04088 Possible Causes:
04088 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 04088 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management feedback signal "b"
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
