When you open exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 3, out of range the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles engine coolant temperature signal, open / short to b+ . So for next ignition coil cylinder 13, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
04087 Possible Causes:
04087 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04087 Code
- Inspect all the connections signal for back-up lights, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
