The problem is about evaporative emission system switching valve, stuck closed It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake auxiliary engine coolant (ec) pump relay (j496), open or short to ground or change transmission ratio, implausible is the final reason of the code. |
04058 Possible Causes:
04058 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04058 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
