This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed low pressure fuel system sensor (g410), circuit you can see the bank 1, system too rich off idle is the final reason of the code. |
04049 Possible Causes:
04049 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 04049 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
