04049 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel pump "b" control, circuit / open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction . On the other hand automatic glow time control module 2 (j609), circuit implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |

04049 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 04049 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
