Diameter in engine control module throttle actuator position, performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor reductant temperature sensor, circuit range / performance or change transmission range display, circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
04042 Possible Causes:
04042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 04042 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
