04039 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit range / performance to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off . So for next activation starter relay 2, short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

04039 Possible Causes:

04039 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
  • Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 04039 Code

  • Inspect all the connections a/c request b, circuit high
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
