04036 Description And Summary :

When you open throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel pressure regulator valve (n276), mechanical malfunction or valve for pump - jet, cylinder 6 (n245), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault.

04036 Possible Causes:

04036 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 04036 Code

  • Inspect all the connections manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
