Accumulated in electronic control units so linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit intermittent / erratic you can see the pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
04022 Possible Causes:
04022 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04022 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, basic setting not completed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
