04003 Description And Summary : |

Diagnosing engine bar with system too rich at higher load, bank 1 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance also exhaust bank 3/4 lambda probes before kat exchanges will delay your vw fault. |
04003 Possible Causes:
04003 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 04003 Code
- Inspect all the connections brake pressure switch (f270), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
