The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil cylinder 16, open circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed cylinder 8 above knock threshold you can see the charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ will delay your vw fault. |
04002 Possible Causes:
04002 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 04002 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
