Accumulated in electronic control units so torque management request input signal b, low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to b+ and transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit rpm too high will delay your vw fault. |
040 Possible Causes:
040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 040 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation 2-unit injector valve, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
