Staring in engine control module 2 for cooling fan, excess temperature mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit low also glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
03984 Possible Causes:
03984 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 03984 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
