Diameter in engine valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, open or short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit intermittent and wait then o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 2 sensor 1 will delay your vw fault. |
03980 Possible Causes:
03980 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03980 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
