This code were stamped on VW Engine case pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox sensor bank 1, circuit high and wait then throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit is the final reason of the code. |
03980 Possible Causes:
03980 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 03980 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
