The problem is about ignition coil cylinder 13, high circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency or change altitude adaptation, signal out of tolerance is the final reason of the code. |
03978 Possible Causes:
03978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03978 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
