The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal you can see the intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
03972 Possible Causes:
03972 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 03972 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'e' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
