Staring in engine oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles crankshaft position signal output, circuit low you can see the valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
03970 Possible Causes:
03970 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 03970 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
