This something to do with the intake camshaft timing tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), range / performance . On the other hand shift lock, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
03961 Possible Causes:
03961 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03961 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, circuit low bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
