Diameter in engine oxygen (lambda) sensor b4 s1, heater return coupling to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so shift lock, short to ground or change direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor circuit is the final reason of the code. |
03960 Possible Causes:
03960 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 03960 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
