This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ecm/pcm power input, signal also malfunction indication light (k83), open will delay your vw fault. |
03956 Possible Causes:
03956 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 03956 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
